Crystal Light Bed in Hawaii
A Crystal Light Bed, sometimes also called an advanced chromo therapy machine is a spiritual
treatment device that uses colored light beams focused at your chakras or energy centers through
seven very pure quartz crystals. The alternating lights produce a balancing effect on your energy
body as you lay with your eyes closed and meditate to soft relaxing music while your energy
body is receiving this external assistance to stay in balance.
Developed by John of God, crystal
beds use Brazilian clear-cut
quartz crystals to generate color and
light therapy to cleanse, clear and raisethe vibration of your chakras (also known as energy centers).
A session consists of lying in the bed for approximately 30 minutes while listening to soothing music and relaxing (many people fall asleep or into a deep meditative state).
Crystal Light Bed Therapy Sessions:
I invite you to take the journey into your own healing with The Crystal Light Bed in Hawaii at
Island Women’s Healing in Pahoa.
Sessions can be enjoyed daily in time increments of 30 minutes.
30 Minute Sessions: $25.00
Sessions by appointment. Contact: Hallie Larsson (808) 756-3034

Pahoa Online!
|
Pahoa Mainstreet Business Association in conjunction with Aloha Business Consulting invite you to take a look at the following link. It is a calendar of events for Pahoa town designed to inform all who want to use it. If you or your organization wishes to add an event, please go the calendar, select the date of your event, and follow instructions. This is a great tool for all to use:
Click here to check out Online Calendar!
Since we are such a small town, this calendar is intended to assist people and organizations in scheduling events and not overlap other events. There have been a series of events and parties recently that have been scheduled on the same day and time thus causing many to have to make a choice between Event A and Party B . We hope this helps.

Creating Sustainable Communities-"Zombie Apocalypse"
|
We’ve received a request from the Imiloa Astronomy Center to please provide contacts or help reach out to people who are involved in creating sustainable communities or unique systems, equipment, etc. that are geared toward self-sustainability (like bicycle-powered washing
machines, etc.). They are having some educational events this October with the theme of "Zombie Apocalypse" – the idea being that they want to share innovative, cool ways people are working toward self-sustainability on the island. Anyhow – this could be a great way to raise more awareness throughout Puna about what your communities
are up to, what the Hawaii Sustainable Community Alliance is pushing for, etc.
If you’re interested, or if you know of anyone out there who has created cool prototypes of any sustainable contraptions they might be interested in sharing, etc., please contact or have them contact Craig Mitchel asap at cmitchell@imiloahawaii.org 969-9720.

Moving Planet at SPACE Market: September 24, 2011
Moving Planet will be a day to put our demands for climate action into
motion-marching, biking, skating-calling for the world to go beyond fossil
fuels. It is a collaborative effort of many organizations, movements, and
individuals. Organizations and local movements are encouraged to take this
day and idea and put forward what you’re able to make this day as powerful as possible around the world.
The goal is to get moving beyond fossil fuels-both symbolically by pouring
into the streets in the thousands on foot, bicycle and other means of
sustainable movement, and politically by bringing powerful demands to our
leaders that day to move beyond fossil fuels to a 350ppm world.
S.P.A.C.E. Market is showing its support by encouraging our market
participants to walk or ride a bicycle to market on Saturday, September24! Whether near or far, we ask that you please, please avoid the use of
fossil fuel on this day. Organize a hike or group bike-ride from your
neighborhood. Vendors whose vehicles aren’t jammed with goods for market sales, consider carpooling together, or bring a S.P.A.C.E. shopper or
three who live in your neighborhood with you to market! Prize drawings
will be held including all vendors and customers who participate. There
will also be an opportunity to measure your own carbon footprint and
information on what you can do to help demand fossil fuel use reduction
locally, statewide and nationally.

Aikido. Thursday 6pm-7pm. Aikido is a beautiful, flowing Japanese
martial art that focuses on creating a flawless connection with your own
and your opponent’s mind and body to achieve true victory. Most attacks
are derived from sword fighting. Grabs and open-handed blows are
prevalent. Defenses make use of the opponent’s momentum, direction of
attach, and body mechanics and often look circular, mostly ending in
throws, arm- or wrist-locks. Aikido philosophy states that true victory
means winning against your own weakness and achieving harmony with the people and the world. Training aikido will improve your posture, body
coordination, and confidence. You will learn skills useful for self
defense, reducing stress levels, controlling your temper, and solving
problems in everyday life. Cost $7.
Swing Dance. Friday 7:30pm – 9:00pm. If you ever wanted to dance like
Fred Astair…well, we can’t promise you’ll learn that, but we DO promise to

– How to get a good connection with your partner, lead and follow well.
– Basic (and later more advanced) Lindy Hop steps for couple dancing.
– Jazz steps for individual dancing – if you’re a juggler, prop
manipulator or anything related, this will add a whole new flavor to your

Course Inspiration
"Aloha ‘Aina" is Hawaiian for "love of the land", or "to love, respect, and nurture the land." As human beings now facing a time of great environmental and social transformation, we believe that it is through this spirit of reconnecting to ourselves, to our communities, and to the Earth with a spirit of love and care that we will renew and restore a healthy balance of human beings living in harmony with each other and their natural environment. We are inspired and grateful to be offering this holistic permaculture design intensive to the greater Island Community to further empower and synergize our efforts of personal, ecological, and social regeneration.
Course Description
The Aloha ‘Aina Holistic Permaculture Design Course will include the standard 72-hour permaculture design curriculum based upon the original Mollison and Holmgren ideas and design philosophies published in The Permaculture Designer’s Manual, as well as be a nourishing retreat and hands-on immersion experience of sustainable living ecovillage design. In addition to the standard permaculture design certification curriculum, we recognize permaculture as an expanding, holistic design philosophy encompassing many fields. Accordingly, this permaculture design course will include and integrate additional content and activities such as nature awareness, indigenous wisdom, embodiment practices, inner work, group process, ecovillage design, hands-on, and more. With a focus on tending the inner, outer, and community landscapes… course participants will work with each other and local community residents on tangible design project scenarios to implement positive transformation within themselves and in the local community.
What is Permaculture?
Permaculture is a holistic design philosophy described as the art and science of creating community ecosystems in which plants, animals, human beings, and all forms of ecological diversity interact to produce a prolific, ecologically-sound, and regenerative system that can support itself and life indefinitely. The focus of permaculture is to design and establish societal systems that provide for humanity’s material and non-material needs including food, water, shelter, energy, and health in a way that is symbiotic and synergistic with the Earth’s natural ecosystems. More recently permaculture is incorporating an ever-growing landscape of diverse fields and skill sets and is being applied towards areas such as business, government, economics, group process, social systems, and inner work.
